Imposter County Magistrate

A criminal police officer travels back to the early years of Emperor Taizong of Song and coincidentally encounters a despondent county magistrate attempting to hang himself. Upon discovering that he bears a striking resemblance to this magistrate, he assumes the latter's identity and vows to take good care of his family. However, he soon realizes that he is governing a remote and perilous place, where he is met not only with the astonished and suspicious gaze of the magistrate's wife, but also with inexplicable debts, a series of bizarre and extraordinary murder mysteries, and even larger enigmas behind those cases. Most critically, he faces wave after wave of mysterious attacks! Relying on his astute mind, meticulous reasoning, and agile skills, he repeatedly turns danger into safety, unravels one mystery after another, and gradually rises in wealth and rank.
